In 2012 with the help from funding from The All Saints Educational Trust , The Design and Technology Association developed a very special GCSE Textiles Technology programme. It was offered to those schools who wanted to improve their Textiles Technology GCSE results to an average score of 60% or above grades A-C. It prioritised those schools with below 30% A-C. The programme was a mix of face to face national workshop and regional workshops and on line support meetings. 6 GCSE Rescue Textiles On-line SeminarsTop tips for planning your GCSE scheme of work – Julie Messenger Improving your class grades in controlled assessment – Julie Boyd Improving your class grades in the final examination – Julie Boyd Making GCSE learning active and engaging – Heidi Ambrose Brown Using new technologies to improve GCSE grades – Heidi Ambrose Brown Reviewing the best resources to use in teaching GCSE – Julie Messenger GCSE RESCUE Textiles One day national workshopProgramme For the event PowerPoint click here.
