  • Review the task
  • Present the information
  • Evaluate the task

Children learn in a variety of ways. They learn at different speeds. Teaching and learning methods need to be of these diversities. The Design & Technology Association Primary School Based INSET Manual For Design & Technology provides many suggestions how children can be encouraged to think for themselves, with the teacher acting as guider, and less as an informer, in various contexts.  Available from the ONLINE SHOP.

New SITA education pack available for schools

A new education pack, produced by waste management company SITA UK, aims to highlight waste issues for school children at Key Stages 2 and 3. Written in line with the national curriculum, the pack contains a teacher's guide, a poster and activity sheets, and is complimented by a website with downloadable activity sheets, animated waste journeys and an interactive game. The pack and website aim to promote an equally important set of three Rs - reducing, reusing and recycling waste.

Further information and details of how to order the pack are available on the SITA website
