Cross Curricular Links - Art and Design

Products in D&T are created from an initial decision to design a system, process or artefact that meets a need. Pupils solve a series of problems during the development of the finished product which will have a clear end user and purpose.

In Art the creation of a piece of art reflects the individual in an aesthetic and emotional process. The finished creation could take any shape or form. Artistic drawing may involve sketching to achieve tone, colour, light and shade. There may be background effects as well as foreground material. It is expressive and personal.
