Publishing

As well as being sources of prior research, the journals and conferences noted concerning Literature Reviews are of course equally publication outlets. Papers submitted will be sent for peer review by members of their Editorial Boards, who will remain anonymous throughout the process, and there will be an Editor with whom you can communicate directly. Guidelines for the submission of articles are typically found at the back of the journals themselves and via their websites.

Publishing has a number of purposes:

- Staking your claim to be recognised as the originator of your work
- Providing the opportunity for research colleagues to give feedback
- Sharing your research findings with the research community

The D&T Association provides a number of publication opportunities from which you can select:

- Presenting a poster, PowerPoint or research paper at the Annual International Research Conference
- Writing a research article for Design and Technology: an International Journal

Guidelines for these opportunities are available.  The expectations of referees increase of course, as you progress from a poster to a research article, from say, some initial findings to a significant contribution to knowledge.

- Another useful way to publish is through an on-line conference such as IDATER online
