Home Secondary New KS3 Curric Learning Outside

The Government has put learning outside the classroom at the heart of the curriculum and young people's personal development. Educational visits and out-of-school teaching can bring learning to life by deepening young people's understanding of the environment, history and culture and provide real contexts for their learning. D&T can be considerably enhanced by experiences provided through visits made within the schools locality and where time and funding allow to venues such as museums and educational centres.

The case studies located below provide examples of schools making use of their local environment to stimulate D&T activity back in school.
