D&T the Digital Curriculum (15.9Mb)

Richard Green, Chief Executive, D&T Association;
David Barlex, Director, Nuffield Design & Technology;
Torben Steeg, Head of Service, Science and Technology Centre and Curriculum Advisor for the Electronics in School Strategy Curriculum.

We need a 21st-century Design and Technology curriculum, not one that harks back to out-dated methods of design and manufacture. The new KS3 programme of study gives a clear indication of the direction for modernisation - the journey is not without risks. Developing the interplay between the real and virtual worlds will require considerable curriculum development and teacher skill. This seminar will present how the D&T Association proposes to achieve this.
