Alison Hardy

Alison is a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University involved in D&T teacher training and tutoring Masters students.

Currently completing her PhD in which she has researched the different values people ascribe to D&T – exploring why D&T should be taught in schools. D&T departments have used her research to design their curriculum. She has also presented at international conferences about the nature and value of D&T.

Alison is an experienced D&T subject leader in two secondary schools and a senior leader in Further Education. She has written and published resources for D&T teachers and their students.

Working with her colleague Sarah Davies she has designed and delivered CPD that uses new technologies that is research-informed.
