Mick Cathcart

Mick worked as a qualified carpenter in the construction industry before achieving a B Ed(Hons) in Design Technology in 1997. From there he taught DT for 24 years in both mainstream and special educational settings, working his way up to head of department at a specialist provision for young offenders.

Now as a Registered Health and Safety Consultant for the Design & Technology Association, Mick offers a broad range of Health and Safety training and Curriculum support to DT teachers nationwide. He also runs a successful woodworking business.
