I have been teacher of DT for 28 years. I was until recently a Curriculum Lead for a chain of Academies, I was the lead writer of the curriculum for 4 academies for Design Technology, I also ran a DT department. I taught RM (KS3 & 4), PD (KS 3, 4 & 5), Catering (yr10), Food and Nutrition (KS3), Construction, level 1 and 2. I am currently taking further qualification in Health and Safety-namely NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety.
Over the last 20+ years I have been involved with writing and implementation of relevant schemes of work, for most areas of DT. I have planned assessment, written course and unit booklets. I have worked with architects on the designs of 2 school provisions for DT areas. I have been a mentor for GTP students.
