Ben is a manufacturing engineer working at JJ Churchill where he is part of a team developing aircraft parts. He did design and technology at school, then became an apprentice and completed his HNC. He moved from the shop floor to the design office where he uses design drawings to help develop processes for developing new parts. He finds it satisfying seeing the final product as an outcome of the work that he has helped develop, and finds the role varied, changing and interesting. Play video.
