CAD for KS3 Design & Technology
Students are more able than we often give them credit for and they often learn IT based skill quickly. They can be introduced to CAD as early as KS2 but it’s important that they learn to use the software correctly and productively.
In this session we will look at the use of SketchUp as a design tool for younger students.
From choosing the right template and setting up the interface properly to learning how to model accurately using numeric input to produce models that are 3D printer friendly. This session will give you the confidence to introduce CAD into design and technology lessons at KS2 and KS3.
A workbook and supporting CAD files will be made available to delegates
