Engineering - Back to basics
Engineering has become a familiar subject within design & technology departments within the last 5 years, but are we delivering 'good' engineering? With apprenticeships being an ever increasing progression route for learners, does the current engineering provision in schools create the engineers of the future?
In this course, we will explore the different engineering qualifications on offer from the exam boards and which ones might suit your learners best. We will also complete a small focus practical task in the workshop to give you a start to what a 'good' engineering project could look like in your department.
Fully understand the suite of current engineering qualifications that count towards schools league tables. How they each differ and which might be more suitable for your learners. Complete a focus practical task that will build on prior knowledge to ensure that engineering projects meet the requirements of the qualification.
