Improving lives with the crumble controller
Improving Lives with the Crumble Controller
This hands-on workshop will look at how embedded electronics can be used to create products that enhance quality-of-life.
There will be a range of practical activities to cater for the absolute beginner to those more experienced with electronics and microcontrollers. We’ll get a chance to experiment with simple haptic feedback, build and program a cardboard prosthetic hand prototype, test how you might cope without sight using sonar and more.
No prior experience of computer programming is needed. Beginners will be guided through starter activities to learn the simple drag-and-drop Crumble software (inspired by Scratch).
Understand how embedded electronics can be used to add intelligence to designs. Use sensors/inputs and outputs to react to the local environment. Apply basic coding knowledge to enable effective use of the Crumble Controller.
