First teachers will be taught how to program using an easy to use, Scratch based programming language. Through hands on tasks with exemplar projects, teachers will experience first-hand how Crumble can be used in projects across KS3, KS4 and at post 16.
No prior experience of computer programming is needed.
- Learn how to program Crumble using an easy to use Scratch based language.
- Use digital and analogue inputs.
- Use a range of outputs including Programmable LEDs called Sparkles, buzzers and a variety of motors.
- Engage practically with several projects making use of Crumble
Joseph Birks is the designer of the Crumble controller and director of Redfern Electronics. He is passionate about electronics and has been creating resources for education for over a decade.
Tim Brotherhood is a consultant for the D&T Association. His career has spanned teaching D&T, subject leadership, local authority advisor for Staffordshire and 10 years developing CAD/CAM pedagogy, STEM resources and CPD for D&T teachers.
