This session hopes to serve as a very basic introduction to graphic design using an easy to access program - Microsoft Publisher

Understand how to use templates

Introduction to common CAD commands

Implementing progression

How to incorporate IEA’s (Investigative and Evaluative Activities)

 

Presented by: Matt Legg, Primary Teacher at Cumnor House Sussex. 

Matt graduated as a Product Designer from Bournemouth University spending some of his placement year at the Sony European Design Centre in Weybridge. From there he worked in industry for a year and then completed his PGCE in Secondary D&T from Brunel University. He then went on to teach Resistant Materials and Graphic Products at St Christopher's School in Bahrain. Three years later he returned to the UK and set up the Design and Technology department at Cranmore Preparatory School for Boys in West Horsley, Leatherhead. Another opportunity to work overseas took him and his family out to Brunei in South East Asia where he set up and taught D&T as a specialist subject at Jerudong International School for 13 years, teaching from year 2 to year 6. He is currently the Head of Department at Cumnor House Sussex, Haywards Heath teaching D&T from year 4 to year 8.
