A Bright Future for Cramlington Youngsters

Students at one North school are hoping to buck the region’s trend suggesting that parents are unsure about vocational careers for their children.

A recent survey by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) shows that 59 per cent of parents in Newcastle do not feel comfortable advising their children on a career in engineering.

However, children at Cramlington Learning Village, in Northumberland, are making waves in the highly-profitable sector.

The school has recently unveiled its exhibition of A-level design technology work which includes lighting solutions made from old tyres and air-droppable shelter for natural disasters.  Read more
