A New Manifesto for D&T

Published 3rd December 2015

The D&T Association is finalising a new manifesto for D&T which will highlight the contribution the subject makes to the education of all students, the threats it faces, particularly in relation to ITT recruitment, accountability measures, the decline in GCSE entry and lack of CPD, and what needs to be done to address these challenges.

We would like to include supporting statements from headteachers, subject leaders and teachers, primary and secondary, about the value of the subject. Some of these will be used in the manifesto, and all will be used in additional print and online materials. If you or your headteacher can provide us with a short (50 words max) statement, please email it to richard.green@data.org.uk, including the name and position of the author and their school name and location.
