D&T Showcase in the West Midlands
Published 19th July 2018
An influential audience of individuals from across government, education and industry is set to showcase our vision of what D&T should look like in a prestigious event, at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, on 1st October 2018.
The event has been timed to coincide with The Conservative Party Conference which runs literally next door at Birmingham ICC from 30th September to 3rd October.
Our objective is to showcase the very best of design & technology teaching and link this to a series of talks and discussions that will build a strong case for D&T being essential to the delivery of the Industrial Strategy and a ‘life subject’ required to prepare students for jobs and a society that is fast evolving.
The event will consist of a number of inspiring keynote addresses and panel discussions. It's aim is to engage with business, industry, national decision makers and MP's and will look in depth at the importance of Design and Technology and Engineering.
The purpose is to raise the profile of the subject, to engage the creative, engineering and manufacturing industries across the country and showcase exactly what Design and Technology should look like, in schools today and in the future.
