Enterprise Advisers for London based schools

Published 3rd February 2016

Quality careers guidance can play a critical role in shaping a young person's career choices, inspiring them to make the right decisions, regardless of their background or location. Although the statutory obligation for careers advice sits within education, it is critical that for careers education to be effective that employers also play an active role. As the careers of the future set to demand higher skill sets, it is essential that we start to provide quality careers guidance that matches the transforming careers landscape.

The Enterprise Adviser programme aims to support greater collaboration between schools and employers, ensuring schools have access to a diverse range of resources and professional advice that will allow students to make informed decisions about the best career journey for them.

Please contact enterpriseadvisers@london.gov.uk if your school is interested in being matched with two high calibre business volunteers through the Enterprise Adviser programme.  These business volunteers will support your lead careers teacher to develop an aspirational careers education strategy.
Enterprise Advisers is a free programme and this year's pilot is open to schools in the following boroughs: Barking and Dagenham, Camden, Ealing, Haringey, Hillingdon, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Newham, the  City of Westminster, and Waltham Forest.  Further information can be found at Team London Enterprise Advisers.
