STEM into Action with D&T Progress

Published 3rd December 2015

STEM into action with D&T in a project being run in 100 London schools by the D&T Association and Mindsets, funded by the Mayor’s London Schools Excellence fund.

Schools are working with STEM related activities that involve the use modern materials in designing and making tasks. One of the resources being provided is the new Crumble controller. In the first instance, 8 schools each working with one group of KS3 pupils are trialing this.  Schools are being encouraged to network through the setting up of twilight cpd sessions run around the capital and through a website where experiences are being shared. The resources from this and other activities developed for the programme will be made more widely available after the programme completes next term and following the subsequent evaluation.
