On Thursday 17th March Richard Green, Chief Executive of the D&T Association, is taking part in a panel discussion in Portcullis House, House of Commons, organised by APPDIG. The invited audience of MPs, Lords, employers and academics will have the opportunity to discuss the impact of the Ebacc on creative subjects in schools, the opportunities created by the new GCSE and GCE D&T examinations and the Universities routine complaint about the lack of tactile or technical skill held by incoming students.

Other speakers are: Dr Elies Dekonink, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath and Julia Bennett, Head of Policy, Crafts Council.

All MPs have been invited – please could all members (and non-members) email your MP this week to make them aware of this panel discussion and ask them to attend and take part. You can find your MP and their email address at http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/
