V&A D&T GCSE Symposium

Published 20th July 2017

On the 11th July, the Victoria and Albert Museum held a Design and Technology GCSE Symposium for Design and Technology teachers, to explore the new single title GCSE and to look at how V&A resources could be used to support its teaching and development in schools.  The event was introduced by Dr Tristram Hunt, Director of the V&A, and attended by teachers from across the country.

Andy Mitchell, Deputy Chief Executive of the Design and Technology Association, gave a key note address and this was followed by presentations on sustainable design.  Hands-on workshops demonstrated how the V&A can support the new Design and Technology GCSE qualification and beyond.
