V&A Schools’ Graphic Design Project in collaboration with BBC Radio 1
Published 13th September 2016
Not to be missed! Take part in Graphic Gathering, the V&A's annual Graphic Design project for Secondary schools. This year we are celebrating the link between music and art with a live brief in partnership with BBC Radio 1. The brief is to create an original artwork that illustrates and promotes the BBC Radio 1 ‘New Music Friday’ playlist. This piece of artwork will be shared on Radio 1’s social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram). It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to experience designing for a real life client.
Graphic Gathering is a free project designed to be delivered as a unit of coursework or a portfolio project and is supported by the V&A through bespoke resources and optional research visits. Find out more: https://www.vam.ac.uk/info/secondary-schools-colleges#graphic-gathering
Are you interested in taking part in an in-depth project with the V&A? DesignLab offers students the chance to broaden their knowledge of the designed world and get them buzzing with new ideas. The programme is delivered by specialists including practicing designers, architects, curators and museum educators.
Open to any state-funded secondary school.
