This resource pack focuses on product design in industry and aims to raise awareness of career opportunities and paths in this sector. The unit is built around a case study of a talented young designer who has risen to lead a design team in a major global company. Resources are provided for two creative designing activities: designs for some original lighting ideas to develop products for a specified market sector using LED lighting powered from a USB port; and a design styling task for the music controller for a baby bouncer.
The resource also includes information about careers and links to a number of websites and further useful resources.
