FREE COURSE – developed for The British Council as part of Connecting Classrooms Global Learning programme and in partnership with Engineers Without Borders
This is a problem-solving challenge which should show students how engineering can impact on improving people’s lives. It is suitable for all specialist areas within Design and Technology as the emphasis is on using the correct materials to solve the problem.
Teachers will attend a one-day course and agree to develop a unit of work and deliver it to students – the amount of time and number of students can be determined to suit individual school circumstances. Delegates must participate in the online evaluation meeting that will be approximately 8-10 weeks after the initial training, to feed back on how they implemented the course content.
Resources to support the course and subsequent delivery:
Spaces Limited. Booking your place is essential. Please do not turn up on the day without booking your place. If you are unable to attend this course once you have booked please notify us one week prior to the course date or your school will be invoiced £100.
This is a free course, however, failure to attend both elements will result in you being invoiced for £100.
The date of your online network meeting is 11.04.2019.
The online network meeting will take place out of school time at 4.30pm and will last approximately an hour. You will be sent joining instructions nearer the time.
