Using Children's Enthusiasm for D&T to improve English, Maths & Science
Research indicates that design and technology is one of primary-aged children’s favourite subjects. So how can we use the motivational effect of the subject to boost children’s attainment in other subjects?
This full day, cross-curricular course for primary headteachers, D&T subject leaders and classroom teachers will provide strategies for using D&T to help raise standards in English, maths and science in KS1 and KS2. The day with comprise interactive sessions:
The course will illustrate how to plan for effective cross-curricular teaching using the D&T Association’s popular scheme of work Projects on a Page and delegates will carry out a number of practical activities to explore how D&T can enhance children’s learning in English, maths and science.
