The Design and Technology Association

Provides support, advice and subject leadership for all those involved in D&T education.

Whether working in a primary or secondary school, a university or school-based training institution, a local authority or as a consultant, there are services to make professional life easier and more effective.

Strength in numbers is important - a large and growing membership of over 6,000 helps the D&T Association to develop and present a strategic vision for the subject, representing the views of the subject community to national policy makers, together with other government agencies and partners.

Listening carefully to the members and working hard means that the D&T Association can provide services, events, publications and other benefits tailored to individual needs - at affordable prices.

Ten reasons to join the Design and Technology Association:

  • Become part of the subject community of over 6,000 members
  • Save time - keep up-to-date with key issues, resources and ideas
  • Save money with discounts on publications, design magazines, accreditations and events
  • Influence government and have your voice heard through the Association's lobbying
  • Network - meet like-minded professionals to share and develop ideas
  • Shape our future by getting involved in advisory groups to determine the future of D&T
  • Get the expert help and advice you need when you need it
  • Evidence TDA professional standards and enhance 'threshold' applications
  • Increase awareness of the subject, its direction and the opportunities
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development
