1700 delegates trained in 2022

Published 9th January 2023

We are proud to have trained a whopping 1,700 delegates in 2022. This is despite schools and institutions facing budget cuts and financial strains following the tail-end of the pandemic. The energy crisis has also seen many schools having to make tough choices and tighten belts.

These strains have affected a number of areas with many schools facing cutbacks on programs and resources such as extracurricular activities, professional development, and support services making it even harder to find the time and funding for continued professional development despite its importance.

To help with this we have kept our offering affordable and easy to access with new bite sized 60-minute CPD sessions, Live Digital training and E-Learning courses for those that can’t find the time to travel. We also offer heavily discounted courses for our members.

When teachers are well-trained and supported, they may be more likely to create a positive and collaborative school culture that benefits everyone in the school community. Teacher training can help teachers stay current on best practices leading to more effective instruction and better student outcomes.

Teacher training can provide opportunities for professional development and career advancement that can be both rewarding and motivating for teachers increasing job satisfaction.

We have had fantastic feedback on our course. One attendee comments, "I thoroughly enjoyed the D&T online course. It was intimate and very interactive which made it even better. It was nice to learn about the projects on a page planning tool and also gain insight into DT in other schools. Overall, I found the course very useful and the instruction very knowledgeable and informative."
