Autodesk Fusion 360 workshops

Published 13th June 2022

In partnership with the Design and Technology Association, Autodesk are delivering comprehensive and free workshops to schools covering Fusion 360. – The workshops will be at no cost to your school, your colleagues, or your students.

Come and see what it is all about at the first webinar on 19th July 2022. Register your interest

Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D modelling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform that is widely used by Industrial designers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, machinists, and start-ups.

This will allow you to provide your students with a solid grounding in CAD & CAM fundamentals, plus manufacturing and engineering skills which will then ensure they are prepared for the future of work using the latest software.

The workshops are being delivered virtually and in-person to ensure accessibility. Autodesk Fusion 360 differs from AutoCAD which is CAD software to create 2D and 3D drawings. Autodesk Fusion 360 is an integrated combination of CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB all in one.

The workshops will include:

  • An introduction to Autodesk Fusion 360, its cloud-based collaboration features enabling remote access from anywhere and implementation of the software into your classroom quickly and easily.
  • How to enable your students to bring their ideas to life with CAM & 3D printing capabilities.
  • A dedicated partner to guide you and answer any questions that arise, upon completion of the workshop.

Autodesk has millions of users and is a world leader in 3D design, engineering, manufacturing, building and construction so this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Tony Ryan, Chief Executive Officer, The Design and Technology Association explains, “The workshops will enable schools to deliver cutting edge Design and Technology curriculum in the classroom and ensure that the future of Design and Manufacturing in the UK remains at the cutting edge of global practice.”

Autodesk also offer a range of handy resources on their website which also explores the capabilities of Fusion 360.

Look out for this set of courses to go live on our website.
