Residency at the RAF Museum Midlands

The RAF Museum Midlands is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated STAAR (Summer Time Advanced Aerospace Residency) programme in July 2024, calling all enthusiastic teachers and Year 9 students across the region.

Immersive STEM Experience for Year 9 Students

STAAR is crafted for Year 9 (Scottish S3) students showcasing an interest or aptitude in STEM subjects. This fully funded, hands-on residential camp takes place on the grounds of RAF Cosford and the RAF Museum Midlands, providing an immersive experience facilitated by industry professionals.

Flight Simulators, Drones, and Engineering Exploration

Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage with flight simulators, fly drones, and delve into the intricacies of engineering in aviation. The programme aims to ignite passion and curiosity in aerospace-related fields, offering students a taste of real-world applications in a stimulating environment.
